Camp Lemieux is a Catholic summer camp located 52 km southwest of Swift Current, SK in Lac Pelletier Regional Park. Camp Lemieux seeks to nurture the faith of youth through experiencing life in a Christian community, participation in the sacraments, and having new experiences in an outdoor setting. Our program has a balance of fun, fellowship, recreation, and solid Catholic teachings. Camp Lemieux community is challenged to worship and love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and strength through the gifts of the Holy Spirit as Christ has taught us.

Camp Summer Director

We are now TAKING APPLICATIONS For The 2025 Season!

The Camp Director is responsible for the following key areas during the months of April to August:

• Comfortable sharing personal faith while minstering to, leading, and forming young people in their faith-lives.
• Love of the outdoors and simple living.
• Camp Promotion with schools and parishes.
• Facilitating and coordinating the program while being in regular contact with the designated Board member.
• Contributing camp content to Facebook & Instagram.
• Responsible for overseeing the successful execution of daily operations while meeting all code of ethics ensuring the safety and security of all campers, group leaders and team.
• Developing strong team dynamics while ensuring all team adhere to Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
• Collaborative relationship and communication with camp cook, nurse, and caretaker.
• Other responsibilities as required.
• Room and Board are provided during July and August
• Timeframe: 2 weeks in April; 14 weeks May - Aug with 1 holiday week in June

Camp Director Responsibilities

Camp Caretaker

The successful applicant will have efficient organizational skills, effective communication skills, work effectively under pressure, and have the ability to source electrical, plumbing, and sewage system services. Experience with these systems will be an asset. ​The Caretaker is responsible for the following key areas:

• Opening the camp in mid-May including start-up plumbing and water wells, test sewage systems, open all buildings.
• During low season (May-June and Sept) the caretaker will act as host and caretaker for rental groups ensuring facilities are clean and ready. 
• During high season (July and August) the Caretaker will ensure facilities are maintained, including washroom facilities, grass mowing, weekly garbage disposal and general upkeep with duties as required.
• This position answers directly to the Maintenance Board Member (May and June) and the Camp Director (July and August). 
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A Vulnerable Sector Check is required. 
• WHMIS, OHS Training, First aid and CPR will be considered an asset.
• Timeframe: May 26 - Aug 31 (15 weeks)

Kitchen Cook And Coordinator

This position is for a minimum of 6 weeks during July and August. The Kitchen Cook & Coordinator is responsible for the following key areas:

• overseeing the organization of kitchen volunteers.
• menu planning and budgeting.
• ordering food & grocery shopping.
• preparation of meals.
• must have Food Safety Certification.
• Room and Board are provided in July and August.
• Salary Range: $600/wk

Team will consist of Counsellors,  Lifeguard, and First-Aider with responsibilities in the following key areas:

• being an awesome role model for young people.
• must enjoy ministering to youth. 
• delivering in-person programming on-site at Camp.
• active role in caretaking between in-person programming opportunities under the guidance of the Summer Director & Caretaker.
• are active in your faith life within the Catholic Church.
• adhering to all Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
• are at least 16 years old by the end of June.

Camp Nurse/First Aid - VOLUNTEER

This VOLUNTEER position has responsibilities in the following areas for the months of July & August OR one week at a time: 

• meet all Protocol for Responsible MInistry requirements for volunteers.
• ​collect all medication at Sunday registration and learn about dosages and times for taking the medication.
• dispense medication to the proper children at the appropriate times and dosages.
• be available for treatment of minor injuries.
• keep the first aid cabinet locked and in order.
• record all administration of medication and treatments.
• in the event of major injury, to help the Director in the assessment of the situation and transport the child to the nearest health care facility, if necessary.
• adher to all Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
• are at least 18 years old by the end of June.
