Marc & Leah Perrault Receive Alumni of Distinction Award from Campion College

On Wednesday November 13, 2019, Marc and Leah Perrault were jointly awarded the Alumni of Distinction. Marc and Leah are the first couple to ever to jointly receive this distinction.

We are blessed to have Marc is the Executive Director of Camp Lemieux. He also serves as the camp’s primary contact, social media guru, promoter, fundraiser and Director. He is a past camper, maintenance worker, volunteer, counselor and Summer Director with Camp Lemieux. His professional life has included many opportunities to work with youth from various social and economical settings, 10+ years in mortgage financing, leadership with the John Howard Society and various sales and customer service roles. Marc is a regular volunteer at his Parish as well as Archdiocesan and community events.

We have also been blessed by Leah sharing her gifts. Leah is currently the Director of Mission at St. Paul’s Hospital. She served as Executive Lead of Corporate Initiatives with Emmanuel Care (the Catholic Health Ministry of Saskatchewan) from 2015 to 2018. Between 2007 and 2015, Leah served as the Director of Pastoral Services for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon. When she’s not busy with her day job, she speaks, consults and writes on the side. Her words find a home at retreats, schools, conferences, book clubs, board meetings, church groups, articles, books and ~ hopefully ~ in the hearts of those who hear and read them.

Thank you to the many individual and community supporters of the "Sharing our Faith, Securing our Future" Campaign. Together, we will secure Camp Lemieux's future and ensure we can continue to share our faith for generations to come.

We have been blessed to receive funds from many individuals who have provided one time donations via their parishes, in person and through the mail over the last 4 months. We are also very grateful for those who have signed up to join the Camp Lemieux Family of monthly supporters. These donations as well as those from various community organizations have blessed Camp Lemieux and raised $24,985 to date. These funds allow us to continue our hard work to fill our camps this summer and plan for some of the much needed repairs or replacements needed.

Camp Lemieux is celebrating its 69th anniversary this year and in 2020 looks forward to celebrating 70 years of sharing our faith with all those who have come through our doors. With the renewal of our programs and a family-oriented camp offering, we will continue to plant the seeds of faith in many youth and families this summer.

Founded in 1950, Camp Lemieux has helped form many leaders in our communities, parishes and homes. Our stability results from the loyal dedication and hard work of many volunteers and from the many individuals, businesses and foundations, who financially support what we do year after year.
