Camp Lemieux is a Catholic summer camp located 52 km southwest of Swift Current, SK in Lac Pelletier Regional Park. Camp Lemieux seeks to nurture the faith of youth through experiencing life in a Christian community, participation in the sacraments, and having new experiences in an outdoor setting.

Summer Director & Caretaker

This will be a 16-week combined position for the 2025 season.
​This Position Has Been FILLED For The 2025 Season!

The Camp Director is responsible for the following key areas during the months of April to August:
  • Welcome visiting public, camp outs, and rental pre-post walk throughs.
  • Comfortable sharing personal faith while minstering to, leading, and forming young people in their faith-lives.
  • Love of the outdoors and simple living.
  • Camp promotion of week camp opportunity with schools and parishes.
  • Collaboratively supporting and facilitating the Archdiocesan Young Adults team offering camp week programming.
  • Contributing camp content to Facebook & Instagram.
  • Responsible for overseeing the successful execution of daily operations while meeting all code of ethics ensuring the safety and security of all onsite campers and team.
  • Developing strong team dynamics while ensuring all team adhere to Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
  • Collaborative relationship and communication with camp cook, and nurse, as required.
  • Other responsibilities as required by the camp board.​
The Caretaker must have efficient organizational skills, effective communication skills, work effectively under pressure, and have the ability to source electrical, plumbing, and sewage system services. Experience with these systems will be an asset. ​The Caretaker is responsible for the following key areas:
  • Helping the Maintenance Board member open camp in mid-May including start-up plumbing and water wells, test sewage systems, open all buildings.
  • During low season (May-June and Sept) the caretaker will act as host and caretaker for rental groups ensuring facilities are clean and ready. 
  • During high season (July and August) the Caretaker will ensure facilities are maintained weekly, including washroom facilities, grass mowing, weekly garbage disposal and general upkeep with duties as required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • A Vulnerable Sector Check is required. 
  • WHMIS, OHS Training, First Aid-CPR, and experience with electrical, plumbing, and sewage systems will be considered an asset.
  • This position answers directly to the Personnel & Maintenance Board Members. 

Room and Board:​ Provided during July and August

​Salary: May-Aug weeks = $800/wk

Kitchen Season Open

​This Position Has Been FILLED For The 2025 Season!

This is a 1-week honorarium position in the first half of June. The Kitchen Season Open position is responsible for:
  • restocking sanitizing & bathroom supplies for season start, as required.
  • cleaning, wiping down, and sanitizing every dish/pan and storage cupboard/pantry shelving in the camp kitchen in preparation for passing public inspection.  
  • cleaning and sanitizing all appliances, fridges, and freezers prior to public inspection.
  • cleaning and sanitizing all evidence of winter rodent life and  rodent proofing the kitchen for the season.
  • Room and Board: Provided while working on site.
  • Honorarium: $600

Kitchen Cook And Coordinator

This position is a 1-week salaried position during July 19-26, 2025. The Kitchen Cook & Coordinator is responsible for the following key areas:
  • overseeing the organization of kitchen volunteers.
  • menu planning and budgeting.
  • ordering food & grocery shopping.
  • preparation of meals.
  • must have Food Safety Certification.

Camp Counsellor Team - VOLUNTEER

We are now TAKING TEAM VOLUNTEERS ​For The 2025 Season!
Kitchen/Nurse/Team/
​Volunteer Interest Survey
Team will consist of Counsellors,  Lifeguard, and First-Aider with responsibilities in the following key areas:
  • being an awesome role model for young people.
  • must enjoy ministering to youth. 
  • delivering in-person programming on-site at Camp.
  • active role in caretaking between in-person programming opportunities under the guidance of the Summer Director & Caretaker.
  • are active in your faith life within the Catholic Church.
  • adhering to all Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
  • are at least 16 years old by the end of June. 
  • Room and Board are provided for July 19-26 during camp week programming. 

Camp Nurse/First Aid - VOLUNTEER

Interest Survey NOW AVAILABLE for This Position For The 2025 Season!
This VOLUNTEER position has responsibilities in the following areas for the months of July & August OR one week at a time: 
  • meet all Protocol for Responsible MInistry requirements for volunteers.
  • ​collect all medication at Sunday registration and learn about dosages and times for taking the medication.
  • dispense medication to the proper children at the appropriate times and dosages.
  • be available for treatment of minor injuries.
  • keep the first aid cabinet locked and in order.
  • record all administration of medication and treatments.
  • in the event of major injury, to help the Director in the assessment of the situation and transport the child to the nearest health care facility, if necessary.
  • adher to all Camp Lemieux policies and procedures.
  • are at least 18 years old by the end of June.
  • room and board are provided in July and into August
